an inconvenient truth....

wow... i really can't believe the weather we've been having these last few months... i get that it's winter... but holy cow... the relentless storms, rain and snow have been certainly much more than usual and they seem to be getting worse and worse... especially this year... it's actually been kind of scary at times... sitting in our humble abode with the wind doing her thing outside full force... knocking out power lines and blowing over trees and things...

we've been pretty lucky and haven't had to deal with the many power outages that a lot of folk have... and our little home is still intact... not the same with friends of ours who are looking at replacing a roof this year and other major repairs...

but i can't help but wonder if pachamama... our blessed earth mother is just plain pissed in a major way... duh?... when are we ever going to get it?... and wake up to the fact that we're abusing her left, right and center....???

i read a couple months back that now that our polar caps are starting to melt from global warming that the money-grabbers and power-mongers now want to drill through what's left of the ice and search and pillage for yet more oil and gas... it seems the only focus is on how much money can be made and how big the profit...

It's funny... the other day i was at the video store wandering around looking for something to watch that evening with my partner... and noticed that Al Gore's documentary "An Inconvenient Truth" is now in video... unfortunately it was out but what was weird is that they only had 2 copies in the whole store... and placed on the very bottom of the shelf where you could hardly notice they were there... but they sure had numerous, endless wall-to-wall copies of violent, gory other stuff... which i can't even fathom wanting to ever watch...

i find it interesting to take note of what the "masses" are focused on... the videos tell all... just go have a look for yourself and notice what the norm is and what folk (and our children) are renting and watching... most of it is so-loud violence and in-your-face "terrorism" and fear... i can't help but wonder about that... doesn't universal law state that, "what you reap, you will sow?" or... "what you put out will return to you?"

boy... it's sure flinging right back at us, don't ya think?

it sure seems we don't want to know what's really happening on and around us even tho' the storms are raging... we just want to throw it away on the bottom shelf and hope it all goes away.... can't we see that our earth mother, our only mother is screaming at us to get it and maybe listen to her for a change? can't we see or hear that she is yearning for us to return to her ancient sacred way - to co-create together like we once did...? will we ever realize the only reason we are here is because of her?... we would not be here if it not for her.... and that maybe some "respect" and gratitude is due?

will we ever wake up... really see and listen? ...i sure hope so... cuz it's now or never...
